In this guide, we will walk you through the different configuration options available for setting up checklists. These settings help you create a tailored onboarding experience for your users, making it easier for them to complete tasks and navigate your application effectively.

  1. Checklist Name: Give your checklist a descriptive name to make it easily identifiable within your Usetiful dashboard.
  2. Checklist Visible title: The visible title for the checklist, which appears for end-users.

  3. Page Targeting: Configure specific targeting criteria to define when and where the checklist will appear. Learn more about Page Targeting here.

  4. Trigger:
    • Automatically: The checklist will show automatically as users land on the page.
    • Manually: The checklist will show as the user triggers the defined event.

  5. Show Usetiful Button: Control whether the checklist is displayed with the Usetiful button.

  6. Show Collapsed: Option to show the checklist in a collapsed state by default.

  7. Completion Action:
    • None: No immediate action upon completing the checklist.
    • Congratulation Message: Display a congratulatory message to users when the checklist is completed. Find out more here.
    • Dismiss Checklist: Option to close the checklist automatically upon completion.

  8. Position: Choose the checklist's position on the page (bottom-right or bottom-left corner).

  9. Show Progress: Display a progress bar that indicates the percentage of items completed.

  10. Can Be Manually Dismissed: When turned off, the "Dismiss" button is removed from the checklist. The Dismiss button is different from the 'close' button located in the top-right corner of the checklist:
    • The 'close' button simply collapses the open checklist without removing it entirely.
    • The Dismiss button, when used, closes the checklist and the Usetiful button entirely for the user and will not display them to the same user again.

Dismiss Action Label: Customize the text prompts that are displayed when the Dismiss button is pressed.
  11. Theme: Customize the appearance of the checklist using different themes. Find out more here.

  12. Priority: Set the priority for the checklist to manage its display order among other checklists. Find out more here.
